Hello and welcome! We are kicking back in gear and starting off with a review of Nendoroid Aqua from the anime/light novel Konosuba. Otherwise known as God's Blessing On This Wonderful World! This would be the second Nendoroid from Konosuba that i own and my fifth one. Not counting the smaller spin-off ones.
Aqua was the first Nendoroid from Konosuba to be released, with Megumin, Darkness, and Yunyun following. As well, a winter fest version of Megumin, and as of a few days ago, Kazuma, the main character is getting his own chibi figure. The people at Good Smile Company sure know what they are doing. Now if only we can get a Wiz.
Enough about the line, let's get going with the review.
Starting off with the box. It is a standard nendo box, they are pretty uniform.
Unboxing!
Here is all that she comes with.
She comes with a nice assortment of things, but I do feel that this is a somewhat small amount. When compared to Darkness.
Here we have the useless Goddess out of box. And as for the norm, she is on her stand.
As for articulation, she is pretty much the norm. No elbo, tail, or additional ball joint in the hair. Just a standard set of articulation.
Going into her accessories, she has these interesting effect parts. Water shooting out of her fans, basically her party trick skills.
However, the water effects are a bit loose and hard to get in. Once you get them on the figure, they look pretty good.
Her other accessory is her staff.
The staff is really well detailed and it has to be one of my favorite accessories for a Nendo.
Now we come to the part swapping parts.
As for her details, I really do enjoy her clear skirt.
The detail on her top is really well done, GSC does a great job of capturing the material. Here, even making such a useless Goddess look good.
The attention to detail does not stop there, as the hairpins she has are well done and are bursting with color.
Even some unexpected details, such as...no...underware...which I'm 90% sure she does not have any in the series.
For size comparison, here she is next to Nendo Darkness.
This figure while something I really went out of my way to get, she really doesn't offer much. Looking at say Darkness or even Holo, she doesn't have much to offer. I feel like compared to Darkness, Aqua is just a simple figure with the standard accessories. However, to make up for this, her crying face really does make it worth it.
With that, however. This figure does look good, and I do enjoy it. However, I do feel that I enjoy it because I really am a fan of Konosuba. So while she does not offer much, she is a great addition due to her facial expressions alone.
